Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

What will Christmas 2020 look like? How coronavirus restrictions could affect shopping, parties and pantos | The Scotsman

It is here again. The holiday season! I don’t know about yours but mine will not look like any Christmas that I have had in a long time. It will be a different kind of beautiful for sure.

For me, Christmas morning will look about the same. We have traditions from Christmas Eve to Christmas morning that I pray will never change. Christmas Eve is spent watching Christmas movies and playing games. Hot chocolate is always on deck with extra marshmallows. I have always let the boys choose between opening a present or choosing to see what is in their stocking on Christmas Eve. Of course, they would open a gift when they were younger. Now that they are older and the smaller gifts seem to be worth more they go for the stocking because that is where I put them. Not this year buddy because those smaller gifts are hidden in bigger boxes…..hahahaha….

The Christmas Spirit

Jews and Christmas | My Jewish Learning

It took me a while to get into the spirit this year with all that has gone on in these last couple of months. We don’t live in the cheeriest of worlds right now and even if someone is happy, how can we see it behind the masks?

Many of us will not be able to travel and go see family and that makes me a little sad. The beautiful thing about us is that we are creative and we will figure out ways to touch the heart of the people that we can’t physically love on this year. From Zoom calls to Facetiming. Phone calls to drop off gifts and standing outside to visit…we are going to get it done! We are going to have our Christmas magic…

All in all, we are going to make the best of it because this is what we do. If we stripped ourselves of all of the judgment and division, we are a land of beautiful people who all want the same thing. We want love. Our need for magic is strong. I just wish everyone knew how to ask for and give those things without feeling like it takes something away from them.

I Just Want to Say This To You….

Thank you for reading and supporting my blog. You are contributing to one of my greatest gifts. That is being able to express myself and share who I am without fear. I humbly thank you for this gift and I wish you a Very Merry Christmas.

Go forth and create magic in your season and show gratitude for it all…

May all of your dreams come true…even those you didn’t even know you had…

Love and light
